The Wisconsin Financial Services Association was organized in 1926 (Wisconsin Association of Finance Companies) as a voluntary non-profit trade association of consumer finance companies licensed to do business in Wisconsin under what is now chapter 138.09 of the Wisconsin statutes. The WFSA is organized for the benefit of our members and our customers to support and advance the interests of consumer lending in Wisconsin.

WFSA has long provided a strong, unified voice on issues affecting the lending industry in Wisconsin, paying particular attention to the State Legislature, the Governor and relevant administrative agencies. With offices located in downtown Madison across the street from the state’s Capitol, we work to keep members informed of the latest news and legislative issues related to consumer credit and other industry related matters. We have a successful track record of preserving our customers access to credit and our member’s ability to originate consumer loans under the most favorable regulatory climate. From our involvement in the Consumer Act in the 1970s to our work to create a unique statutory home for installment lenders, WFSA has led the consumer finance industry on the most relevant legislative issues.
